BiographyHistory

Andrew Fisher was Prime Minister three times, in 1908-09, 1910-13 and 1914-15.

In 1886 he launched The Gympie Truth with other Gympie Laborites to counter the anti-Labor sentiment expressed by The Gympie Times. Along with editor, Henry Boote, he largely wrote and produced the paper in its first year of production.
