BiographyHistory

M. P. French holds a Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing and Editing), and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. He began his writing career in1992 and his short stories and poetry have appeared in Australian Short Stories , LiNQ, Verandah, Divan, Ars Poetica, Cordite Poetry Review, Inkshed and Overland. He has received a commendation in the Judah Waten National Short Story Competition.

French has been a participant at the Montsalvat National Poetry Festival, the Hawthorn Literary Festival, Fiction at La Mama, and the Melbourne Poets. He has been the secretary of the Melbourne Poets and co-editor of Ars Poetica.
