BiographyHistory

Gabrielle Williams was a Melbourne-based author. She has worked in recording studios, advertising, and television, as well as working as a bookseller with Readings, where she was also the mamager of the Readings Prize and grants officer for the Readings Foundation.

Her first novel, for adults, was published in 2001. From 2009, she published numerous novels for young adults, which were regularly shortlisted for awards, including the New South Wales Premier's Literary Awards, the Victorian Premier's Literary Awards, and the Prime Minister's Literary Awards.

Gabrielle Williams died in January 2023, after suffering a stroke.
