BiographyHistory

Bartlett was educated at Albury Grammar School. After leaving school, Bartlett worked in a solicitiors office before moving to Corryong with his parents in 1891. In 1897 he joined the staff of the Corryong Courier soon after becoming editor then proprietor in 1900. Bartlett enlisted as a private in the A. I. F. in March 1917, rising to the rank of lieutenant during his war service. He was wounded in action and sent to England and later back to Australia dying in Caulfield Hospital.
