BiographyHistory

Stenhouse practiced as a solicitor and became the centre of a circle which included many writers and intellectuals. He provided financial and moral support to Daniel Deniehy, Charles Harpur, Henry Kendall and others. His extensive library is now in the Fisher Library of the University of Sydney.
