BiographyHistory

Peter Macrow has worked as a tutor and lecturer of German and European Literature at the University of Tasmania and he was a sound librarian at the ABC for fourteen years . Since December 2000 when his first published poem appeared in Famous Reporter, Macrow has had over 200 poems published, as well as book reviews, an animal alphabet, the first chapter of Goldbec the Mole, an animal fantasy for 'kidults', and The Golden Ball, a play with verse for children.

Macrow has also edited two issues of Republic Readings, a chapbook series (no. 8, September 2004; no. 9, December 2004). He has been invited to be poetry editor of the Melbourne-based print journal, The Other Side, for one issue. He is the founding editor of the poetry chapbook series, Blue Giraffe: the first issue was due out in June 2005. He is also the founding editor of windfall, a poetry annual to be published by Pardalote Press towards the end of 2006.
