BiographyHistory

Part of the Granada Group (a United Kingdom commercial broadcasting company), Granada Publishing was formed in 1961 during Granada's media expansion. Also associated with Granada Publishing is Mayflower Books; Granada acquired Mayflower in 1967. (Mayflower Books was the British subsidiary of US's Dell Publishing.) Granada sold its publishing interests to the Scottish publishers William Collins (q.v.) in 1983.
