Mary Jenkins has undertaken PhD studies at the Centre for Environmental Studies at the University of Tasmania. She has been involved in the building of energy efficient and nontoxic buildings and has researched the effects of chemicals on people and the planet.
Jenkins's writing has been influenced by Elaine Pagel's The Gnostic Gospels.
