BiographyHistory

Kenny Laughton is a Vietnam veteran who had two tours of duty between 1969 and 1971, as a clerk in Saigon and as a combat engineer with I Field Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers in Nui Dat. Following his discharge from the Armed Forces, Laughton worked in high level positions in both community and government organisations.

His published works include (as editor) The Aboriginal Ex-Servicemen of Central Australia (1995) and Touched by Fire : The Australian Experience in Vietnam (1999), a resource booklet to accompany an exhibition of work by artist Derek Walsh.

He has been a participant and a keynote speaker at several major writers festivals.
