BiographyHistory

Redmond Murphy, born of Irish parents, was educated at the Marist Brothers' High School, Darlinghurst. He became a Marist brother in 1930 and taught English in schools of the Marist Order in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. His interest in writing poetry developed comparatively late in life.
