BiographyHistory

The bookselling and publishing business of George Blackmore Philip seems to have been located at 451 Pitt Street, Sydney throughout the life of the firm. He took one or more of his sons into partnership, but the business was bought out by the New Zealand firm of Whitcombe and Tombs before the elder Philip's death in 1940. G. B. Philip was the original publisher of Christopher Brennan's Poems (1913).
