BiographyHistory

Barry York was born to an English mother and a Maltese father. As a specialist in Australian immigration history, he coordinated the National Library's Maltese-Australian Folklife and Social History Project and their Polish-Australian Oral History project. He has held the positions of Post-Doctoral Fellow in History at the University of New South Wales and Visiting Fellow, Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies, Australian National University, Canberra.
