Dr Linda Weste holds an MCW and PhD in creative writing from The University of Melbourne, and is a recipient of the Felix Meyer Scholarship for Creative Writing. Her creative practice includes poetry and historical verse novels. Weste completed her first verse novel, Nothing Sacred: A Novel in Verse Set in Late Republican Rome for her PhD.
In 2014, she was completing a second historical verse novel, set in WW2 Melbourne.
Weste established an online narratology network for Australia and the Asia Pacific, narrAUS, in affiliation with The University of Melbourne in 2013.
As of 2014, she is the Reviews Editor for the Australian Association of Writing Programs journal, TEXT: Journal of Writing and Writing Courses.
