BiographyHistory

Based in Sweden, Bonnier is a family-owned media group of 175 companies spread across twenty-three countries. Operations comprise Business Press, Newspapers, Books, Magazines and Broadcasting & Entertainment. Its flagship imprint, Albert Bonniers Förlag, publishes some two hundred titles a year, both translations and original Swedish works.

In 2018, Bonnier announced a major restructure of its Australian business, said to be in response to changing market conditions. Titles from the Echo Publishing list were to be consolidated under the UK imprint Bonnier Zaffre, with Angela Meyer to continue as commissioning editor of Echo Publishing. Selected titles from Bonnier Publishing Australia's imprint Five Mile will be acquired by Hardie Grant Egmont: for the rest, rights will revert to creators of licensors. Bonnier had previously closed Echo Publishing in 2015.
