Joel Becker has been involved in the Australian book industry for over 45 years, as a bookseller, cultural project manager, industry advocate, and judge for literary awards. He has been involved in making Melbourne a UNESCO City of Literature, for Love Your Bookshop Day, and for the development of the Wheeler Centre. Since 2010, hehas been CEO of the Australian Booksellers Association.
