Greater Glider Productions is an independent Australian publishing company, founded by Jill Morris (q.v.) at her rainforest property located in the hinterland of Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Greater Glider has published radio scripts, computer programs, a rock musical, and high quality, richly illustrated books for children, focusing on the preservation of the natural environment.
The first Greater Glider production was 'a 65-episode Australian drama serial, Bangotcher Junction, which premiered on BBC radio in the UK in 1983'. This was followed by the Animals of Oz series (1985) and the Aussie Swag series (1987). (Sheahan-Bright, p. 233.)
The large-format, award-winning Greater Glider Environment Artbooks Series, which includes Australian Bats (1992), Australian Owls, Frogmouths and Nightjars (1993), Australian Frogs (1995), and Australian Kangaroos, Magnificent Macropods (1998) combine factual information with realistic illustration.
