BiographyHistory

In 1981 the Commonwealth Government and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) signed an agreement which provided, amongst other things, that UNSW would establish a University College within the Australian Defence Force Academy. In June 1982 the Interim Academy Council, chaired by Sir Edward Woodward OBE, QC, held its inaugural meeting. In February 1984 the University of New South Wales announced the appointment of Professor G.V.H. Wilson as the first Rector of the University College.

UNSW@ADFA (formally University College) is responsible for conducting courses of study and research. The College offers undergraduate degree courses, and opportunities for graduate study and research leading to higher degrees, diplomas and certificates.
