BiographyHistory

Emeritus Professor A. G. L. Shaw, AO, FAHA, FASSA, was a graduate of Melbourne and Oxford Universities and later became Dean of Trinity College Melbourne and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. Professor Shaw was professor of history at Monash University from 1964 to1982. He was also a President of both the Academy of Social Sciences Australia and the Australian Historical Society.
