BiographyHistory

Joyce Saxby was a librarian and editor. In 1963, after a career in librarianship in Tasmania, New Zealand and Toronto and at the National Library of Australia in Canberra, Saxby was appointed to Angus and Robertson as children's book editor. She was the first editor specifically for children's books in Australia.
