Tasmanian-born writer and art critic Jane Rankin-Reid lived in New York from the late 1970s until the early 1990s. She moved to London in the early 1990s where she continued working in the arts field. She has been senior editor of the publications Art & Text and Artscribe.
Returning to Tasmania in 2002, Rankin-Reid has worked as a journalist and arts columnist on various publications.
