Dr Suzanne Eggins gained a B.A. (Hons) in Linguistics, Sydney University; Maîtrise and DEA en Linguistique Appliqée from Université de Nancy, France and a Ph.D.(in analysis of casual conversation), Sydney University. Her research and teaching interests include: 'children's literature and literacy, systemic-functional linguistics, cultural studies and semiotic analysis of popular texts, conversation analysis.' Dr Eggins has been Senior Lecturer in the School of English, University of New South Wales.
