Terry Threadgold has had a distiguished academic career both in Australia and the UK where she is has been a Research Professor of Communication and Cultural Studies. She has written widely in the area of the theory and practice of professional and academic writing, critical discourse analysis, semiotics and media theory. She has undertaken research in a variety of areas including women's experience of ageing, the judiciary and rape, drug use, Aboriginality and Native Title and the performative space.
