BiographyHistory

Mavis Scott was educated at various state primary schools in Queensland and at the Brisbane State Commercial High School. In 1949 she married William Neville (Bill) Scott (q.v.), also a writer. During the late 1980s Scott lived at Warwick, Queensland. As well as the children's books listed, Scott wrote a number of books for children's readers series, including A Gift from the Past (1984), Myths of the Sea (1994) and Wondrous Tales from Around the World (1994).
