BiographyHistory

The parent company Associated Book Publishers was formed in London 1958 by the merger of Methuen, Chapman and Hall, and Eyre and Spottiswoode. After a period of publishing as Methuen, Eyre and Spottiswoode, in 1972 the general publishing division of Associated Book Publishers was named Eyre Methuen. In 1981 the name was changed to Methuen London.
