The Melbourne publishing firm owned by F. F. Bailliere sometimes issued publications jointly with the owner's father, Hippolyte Bailliere, who published in London. Hippolyte Bailliere had a bookshop in Regent Street London, and became known as a medical publisher. His imprint has survived as a medical imprint of the Elsevier publishing group.
