BiographyHistory

After a dispute with his friend and associate George Robertson, Samuel Mullen opened his own bookshop and library in Melbourne. Mullen retired in 1889 and William Robertson, brother of George Robertson, joined with A. G. Melville and Leonard Slade to acquire the firm, forming Melville, Mullen & Slade.
