BiographyHistory

St. Martin's Press was established by Macmillian and Company (London) in New York as a distributor for their books which did not have an American publisher. St. Martin's started to publish its own titles and even to take on other British titles. The majority of its list is still British. It publishes 700 titles a year, and is 'equally committed to finding and nurturing the first-time author as we are to bestseller publishing'. Imprints include:

St. Martin's Griffin

St. Martin's Minotaur

Picador USA

Thomas Dunne Books

Truman Talley Books
