Andrew Zawacki has worked as co-editor of verse and reviews for the Times Literary Supplement and Boston Review. His poems have appeared in The New Republic, New American Writing, American Letters & Commentary, The Yale Review, Fence, Denver Quarterly, The Prose Poem, Colorado Review and elsewhere. He edited the anthology Afterwards: Slovenian Writing 1945-1995 (White Pine, 1999). A student in the Committee on Social Thought at the University of Chicago, he lived in Australia on a Fulbright Scholarship from April 2000 to March 2001.
