BiographyHistory

Glenise Meldrum came to Melbourne with her parents when she was eighteen. After her marriage to Jim Meldrum and the birth of two daughters, she moved to Kempsey in New South Wales with her family. In Kempsey, Glenise Meldrum studied librarianship through Edith Cowan University. She became the children's librarian for the Kempsey shire, organising school and library visits by children's authors and illustrators.

1996 winner Children's Book Council of Australia (New South Wales) Awards The Lady Cutler Award Awarded in recognition of Meldrum's contribution to the promotion of reading material with children and young adults. She was the first librarian from a country area to receive this award.
