Margaret Early completed an Arts degree at Sydney University prior to further study at the Shillito Design School (Sydney) and St Martin's School of Arts (London). She has since worked as an artist holding regular exhibitions in Sydney, Brisbane and various European cities. Her book illustrations are predominantly created in oils, although the pictures for Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves were created with gouache. Early lives in a small village in the South of France.
