Notes

  • The various booklets that E. Wells compiled contain work from other writers; for example, Fragments From Gallipoli and France (1920) includes 'The Australian' - a poem by W.H.O. (Will Ogilvie). 'Anzacs', by Edgar Wallace, is included in The Landing at Gallipoli [1918]. Perhaps Wells engaged in selling his booklets in the post-war years, in a similar way to Herbert Scanlon.
