BiographyHistory

Kap Pothan was born in New Zealand of Indian background and was educated at Takapuna Grammar, Napier Boys High School and the University of Otago. He then studied art at the Dove Centre, Somerset. He became a registered surveyor in 1953 and practised as one in Australia. Also a sculptor in stone, he had solo exhibitions in Sydney and Auckland in 1983. Pothan returned to Whangarei in New Zealand.
