Judy Menczel, scriptwriter, was born in Australia of Czechoslovakian parents. She has worked as a producer, director and writer of documentary and dramatic films with various Australian television networks and on programs including the Channel 9 Midday ('Today') Show. Her script for 'Old Songs in a New Land' won an award from the New York Film Festival.
