BiographyHistory

Satya Colpani came to Australia in the late 1950s. Her interest in writing was stimulated while working on her father's biography, Beyond the Black Waters : A Memoir of Sir Sathi Narain (1996). Colpani has since written Veiled Honour (2001), a novel which has been considered a landmark work as it traces the lives of three generations of Indo-Fijian women. She has also published short stories.
