BiographyHistory

Bohdan Podolanko was born in Lviv, the Western Ukraine. From 1936 he was involved in the Ukrainian underground resistance movement and he was imprisoned in 1939. In Australia, he has worked as a compositor with the Sydney Morning Herald. He was one of the original founders of the newspaper Vilna Dumka and has been a correspondent for Samostiinyk in Western Germany. He also edited the Ukrainian club magazine, Sydneysider, from 1971-1973.
