BiographyHistory

Juliusz Zajączkowski was born in 1955 in Wrocław, Poland and attended the Wrocław Polytechnic. In 1988 he was granted political asylum in Germany. In 1990 he emigrated to Australia and settled in Brisbane. He has participated in many public performances as a member of the Queensland Multicultural Writers Association which in 1993 published the volume of poetry and prose Windows, including work by Zajączkowski (writing as J. Maciul). His writing has been published in several literary periodicals in Australia and the USA, including 'Idiom 23', 'Social Alternatives', 'Australian Writers Journal'.
