BiographyHistory

Marta Kaczmarek was born in Poland and graduated from the Solski School of Theatre in Kraków. In 1981 she emigrated to Australia, where she has worked as a television and film actor. A selection of her poems was published in an anthology titled Śpiew ptakow wędrownych (The Song of Birds of Passage) (Perth, 1989). She has published poetry in the Polish Kurier, and a volume of her poetry titled Ziemia przybrana [Adopted Land] appeared in 2002. She is a co-founder of the theatre 'Żart' (Joke). She lives in Perth.
