BiographyHistory

Joseph Chetcuti was born in Rahal Gdid, Malta and attended a government school in Strada Zekka, the Montessori school in Kingsway until 1960 and the Stella Maris College in Gzira. Originally he planned to become a Franciscan monk but he went on, instead, to pursue research and to teach. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in Political Science and has taught at several institutes of technology as well as at an institute of Catholic Education. He has been a past chairperson of the Victorian Association of Multicultural Writers.
