BiographyHistory

Giuseppe Luciano was born in Procida and after emigrating to Australia settled in Queensland. He was appointed Consular Agent for Italy, an appointment carrying the unofficial functions of adviser, marriage counsellor and psychologist to the local Italian community. He was interned during World War II in Sydney. After the war he worked from 1947 to 1956 as tutor in Italian at the Conservatorium.
