BiographyHistory

George Vasilacopoulos gained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Monash University. His 1993 Ph.D. thesis was entitled A Reading of Hegel's Philosophy and the degree was granted from La Trobe University, where he continued to published widely academically as a lecturer in the Philosophy Department. He co-wrote with Toula Nikolakopoulou Hegel and the Logical Structure of Love : an Essay on Sexualities, Family, and the Law (1999), and the story of the role of Greeks in Australia in the 2004 publication Hypoteleia kai eleutheria : Hellenes metanastes sten leuke Australia kai koinonike allage (1897-2000), translated as From Foreigner to Citizen: Greek Migrants and Social Change in White Australia (1897-2000). BAMW also lists his Poiemata (Poems) (1978) but this has not been traced.
