BiographyHistory

Victor Royer attended the state school in Prague, the Realgymnasium, Vienna, and De La Salle College, Melbourne. From 1972 to 1974 he was employed in advertising with The Age. In 1977 he gained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Melbourne and, in 1979, a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Philosophy from the University of Wollongong, New South Wales. He has been a member of the Fellowship of Australian Writers (FAW), the Sunshine Coast Literary Society, the Illawarra Little Theatre Company, the Australian Songwriters' Association and the Czechoslovakian Association for Arts and Sciences (United States and Australia). A writer of songs, he also set up a recording company to produce his own and other people's music.
