Chadia Gédéon, has lectured in Arabic studies at the Phillip Institute of Technology and has also been involved with Radio 3EA where, amongst other activities, she has interviewed Arabic women about contemporary issues.
In 1983-1985, her unpublished novel Lubnan raghm kul shaye [Lebanon Despite Everything] was adapted as a 105 minute film titled Lebanon. She is the author of teleplays about Lebanon for children, titled Mouloukouna Al-Sighar [Our Little Kings], Am Yikbarou Al-Awlad [The Children Are Growing up] and Kawkabi Al-Jahid [My New Planet]. Her radio play Mamlakati Laysat Min Haza Al-Alam [My Kingdom Is Not from This World] was produced by Radio Liban Libre, Lebanon, in 1983-1984. Her satirical works Wa-Wahid and Monologue were broadcast on Radio 3EA. Gédéon's interviews with artists have been published in An-Nahar as well as her short stories Kawkab Neptune youhaki al-ard [Neptune Talking to the Earth] (1989) and Al-sayidat um el-nour [Our Lady of the Light] (1990).
