John McCallum has been a senior lecturer and joint program coordinator, Theatre & Performance Studies in the School of English, Media and Performing Arts at the University of New South Wales. His research interests include 20th century and contemporary Australian theatre and drama, comedy and humour studies.
McCallum has published widely in the field of Australian theatre and drama and has been a member of the Editorial Board of Currency House. He is also a theatre critic with The Australian and a member of the Board of Studies, NIDA.
