In addition to being an actor and a director, Frame has written drama, guides to teaching and touring plays for schools. He has been the Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Arts Council, the largest non-profit Arts organisation in Australia.
Frame has held many positions in the Arts, including the Artistic Director of Queensland's Gallery Theatre, Associate Director of Queensland Theatre Company, Director of Queensland Youth Theatre and Assistant Director of the Royal Court Theatre in London. He has been a board member of several Australian Arts institutions.
