BiographyHistory

Isobel White, an anthropologist, lived with Aborigines in South Australia while studying women's social and ceremonial life, about which she has written articles. After her retirement from Monash University she was a visiting fellow in the Research School of Pacific Studies at the Australian National University. White has also edited The Native Tribes of Western Australia, from manuscripts written by Daisy Bates in the 1900s.
