BiographyHistory

In 1974 Michael Pais lost his home as a result of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and became a refugee. Pais migrated to Australia and settled in Melbourne where he worked as a painter. Pais has a great interest in science and philosophy, particularly cosmology. His first collection of poetry appeared in Anthology: The Work of Greek Writers in Melbourne (1984). He read at the annual forums of the Greek Australian Cultural League of Melbourne between 1987 and 1991. Pais also participated in the Greek-Language Writers of Melbourne project, a multimedia venture. He writes and publishes in Greek and English.
