Middleton also composed The Royal Jubilee Ode (1935), 'in honour of His Most Gracious Majesty King George V', which won first prize entry in The Telegraph Royal Jubilee Ode Competition (National Library of Australia: Manuscript Reference No : NLA MS 395).
