BiographyHistory

Stanislav Moc obtained his primary and secondary schooling in the then Czechoslovakia and later took an apprenticeship in chemical production. In Australia he pursued environmental studies at Bathurst College of Advanced Education.

'An author in exile, [Moc] has lived in Australia since 1968. His first works were published by the influential "exile" publishing houses Index in Cologne and 68 Publishers in Toronto. Before his crucial work Czech Wake, he had published only one book in his home country.' (Petrov website,http://www.ipetrov.cz/dokument.py?idd=D00000000000000988 , sighted 26.7.06)

Moc has also written short stories, and translated poetry.
