BiographyHistory

Bernardo Landó began writing poetry after he migrated to Australia in 1974. He has since performed his work in various public forums and in 1990 his poetry was read on Radio 2EA's Spanish programme. Landó also worked with the Spanish programme (Radio 2EA, Sydney) which, with its inception in 1975, was the first multicultural radio programme to be broadcast in Australia.

Landó has also taught Spanish, been a judge in La Peña's literature competition and in 1983 won a prize for poetry in a competition organised by the Spanish Club of Sydney. His poetry was included in the anthology Poemario (1987) and has also appeared in various publications such as El Español en Australia and Versión.
