BiographyHistory

Vincent Krebs was born in Rockhampton in 1901. He entered employment in the Queensland Railways Department as an apprentice clerk in 1916, and retired from the position of Commissioner's Representative on the Railway Appeal Board in 1968. He wrote The Adventures of Wirra Wirra for his son Alan. His unpublished writing includes a family history of the Krebs and Breckels families in Australia, 1856-1980, as well as memoirs and short stories. His son, Ron Krebs (q.v.), was a playwright.
